Nothing really new here folks. The techniques demonstrated are not innovative or unique. Plastic wrap on wet paint for visual texture… molding paste to add physical dimension. Collage. Glazing with washes of ink or acrylic. Wax as a resist.
The only exception being the chapter on using oil paints…which are generally not recommended or used by most mixed media artists because they simply do not play nice with water based media and used at the wrong time can spell total disaster… which isn’t mentioned.
Worth looking through if it’s one of few mixed media books your library has but definitely not worth a place on your studio shelf.

This was a basic introduction to mixed media painting it looks like fun to try.

I can't wait to try so many of the various mixed media techniques in this great book! I may have to see if this book is available in he print form.

Informational for more experienced not instructional for individuals wanting to learn something new
Lacks sufficient instructional steps and demonstrative pictures. Terms and methods are used throughout the book that I was not familiar with (still aren't, except by context). I feel no more prepared or inspired to start my own collage project.
