Damian ‘Player’ Young is Vice-President of The Devil’s House MC and he has devoted his life to the club—his only family. Haunted by his childhood, one filled with pain and misery. Player refuses to allow any woman to be more than a pleasant distraction, vowing never to fall in love. Player will never give any woman that much power over him.
But then she appeared at the clubhouse gates out of nowhere, standing in the pouring rain. A beautiful spitfire claiming to be the sister of a club brother. There is something about her that won’t allow him to forget her, no matter how hard he pushes her away.
And the last push, one that is hard and cruel, does it’s job and she is gone from his life. Something he immediately regrets but can’t fix. And the worst part is he pushed her into danger and now the search is on to find the woman who stole his heart.
Randi
Randi Marks is in trouble. Her stepmother will stop at nothing to steal her inheritance, including holding her prisoner to gain her cooperation. But with the help of a loyal friend, she escapes running to the only family she has left—her brother Ashby.
Ashby belongs to a motorcycle club and when she finally gets there, she isn’t allowed inside. Wet and tired from being forced to walk after her car breaks down, this is the last thing she needs to happen. And when she is questioned by a rude but incredibly sexy biker named Player, she hits her limit and lets him know how she feels about his questions.
Over the next few months, she and Player play a game of push and pull, until finally she let Player in her bed and heart. But what does Player do with it? Tramples it under his heavy boots and leaving her heartbroken and feeling like a fool. Well, Randi Marks is a quick learner and Player will never get the opportunity to fool her ever again.
Triggers: 18+ Strong Sexual Situations, Strong Language, Some Violence, Memories of Childhood Physical and Mental Abuse, No Cheating, HEA. This book can be read as a stand-alone. But for a better understanding of club members and some elements, reading the series in order does help.
3 stars for Randi. None for Player because he didn’t deserve a damn thing, especially Randi.
I can like a book without liking the FMC but when I despise the MMC the book really has no chance. That’s how I felt here. Meeting Player you would never know he was a 44 year old VP of a biker club because he was soooo damn IMMATURE!! The old treat her like shit because you want her is such a high school thing to do and I was not here for it.
He’s a complete asshole to Randi the entire book and how she fell for him I have no idea. He uses her and then doesn’t talk to her the next day and then let’s the club skanks hang all over him and pretends to sleep with a different one each night just to prove to Randi he doesn’t want her. Like I said, such a high school thing to do. The only good part was that he wasn’t actually sleeping with these women.
Randi should have stood her ground more, she let her body lead which is my least favorite type of heroine and he didn’t even apologize to her for how he treated her. Just told her it was because he wanted her but was scared to. Ahh so damn frustrating. He didn’t redeem himself in my eyes at all.
Again there were names mixed up in this book and it threw me off.
The best part of this book were the side characters. I’m not too excited about the next book, Harker, because I have a feeling I won’t like Beth. But I’m patiently waiting for Leather’s book!
Hated Player, boring, really dragged and a lot of mistakes in this one.
Player is the vice president of the Mc, and had a horrific childhood. So he pretty much hates all women and just uses them for sex. He must have said the word bit*hes about thirty times. He describes all women apart from Katherine as bitc*es and it’s repulsive. 😡😡😡 When he meets Randi who is Scorches half sister, he wants her in his life and he hates it. So he treats her like she’s a wh*re all the way through the book, having sex with her then not even acknowledging her the next day. What a d*ck!
Randi is being kept prisoner by her stepmom as her dad left her loads of money, and her stepmom wants it. When she manages to escape she runs to her brother Scorch who is the computer whiz in the Mc. The club agrees to protect Randi, as she’s family. Randi and Player are instantly attracted to each other, but Player doesn’t want more than sex, so he treats her terribly.
The club hide Randi away to protect her, but when Player pushes her away for good, she puts herself in danger.
I just didn’t enjoy this book. Player is horrid and I loathed him.
There’s a lot of mistakes in this one, that weren’t in the first. My favourite mistake which is often in books, your instead of you are or you’re. Scorch tells the club that Randi is his stepsister even though they share a mother.
I really thought I had found a new Mc series to read, but I’m not sure I can be bothered now. I felt like I was reading a Mills and Boon with the man being awful to the woman all the way through. Till he realises he made a huge mistake and professes undying love to the heroine. 🥱
Randi Marks is being held hostage until she agrees to marry her stepbrother to gain access to her inheritance. Fortunately she has a friend who is helping her escape and find her brother Ashby who is a member of the Devil's House MC. Randi runs and Ashby, known as Scotch, vows to protect her. What she does not plan on is the ire of the VP called Player.
Player never plans to settle down, he loves women but only for a few hours. When he sees Randi, he wants her but she is off limits. He believes she is a rich princess with the attitude to match. He soon realizes he is wrong, they banter and find themselves given into the heat between them, but he is not playing for keeps that is until he is.
This was fun, Player was a jerk towards Randi but I believe it was more because he was questioning his feelings and it made him uncomfortable. Randi is great, she gives back the attitude that Player slays her way. Had some funny moments too.
This was an Great book. This is the second book, in the " Devil House MC West Virg. " series Yes, it can read as a stand along , but i advise you to please, read book one before this, to know the characters, and what been going on. Please, read the triggers, also. 💓 Player and Randi. This book is entertaining, action, unpredictable, found family, brother MC Brother, kidnapped, cage, wonderful characters, long lost brother, sister he didn't know, he had, Steamy, HEA, and so much more. 💓💓💓 this MC series.
Good like the other one but there was too many familial connections dropped in all at once and U think some careful editing was misses switching back and forth between road names and real names. Also, the whole Thresa Big John thing was to convienent and oasses through with little thought. But the story made up foe it with the ppPatch Sammual twist. Because of that little gem, four stars.
Short answer: I liked it. Randi might be on the run, but she’s no meek damsel in distress. Her brother is in the MC, so she’s off limits, but Player can’t resist her. Player’s name has a double meaning: he’s a man Ho-ho-ho and he’s unnervingly good at poker. Triggers include the appearance of cheating (but not actually), trafficking, violence, language, kidnapping. Tropes include Bodyguard Romance, Forced Proximity, Heroine On The Run, Dysfunctional Family FTW, and Reformed Man-Ho-Ho-Ho.
Player puts on a good happy face whenever he is in public and with his MC but underneath he is hurting. His past is full of trauma and tragedy. Can this woman who comes into their lives help him see he is worth the love of a good woman. This MC is a strong family oriented group.
Player (The devil’s house MC) West Virginia ( the devil’s house MC: West Virginia book 2)
I enjoyed reading about Player and Randi. Player had a very abusive childhood. He is the vice president of the Devil’s house Mc. He meets Randi when she needs protection from her hostile step-mother. Their relationship has many twist and turns in this compelling novel.
Player is book 2 in The Devil House MC, the story continue with plenty of drama, a bit of action, evil twisted plots, sizzling hot attraction and sexy time, Player has experienced trauma as a child that haunting him as an adult, Randi is beautiful inside out, and is calling Player out when he is too much of a coward to own his feelings.
Not bad, but it started turning into a soap opera about 3/4 of the way in. I normally overlook editing/proofreading issues, but this one had some things that really stood out (misspellings, lack of quotation marks during dialogue). Not planning on continuing with the series, but I may change my mind.
Missing words, sentence fragments, abysmal grammar. I don't care how the bikers mangle the language, but a woman with a degree in business does not say, "They drug me to the warehouse." Good story ruined by bad editing. There are programs and editors to prevent this.
Player and his Rich Girl was an amazing read, I absolutely loved them ❤️❤️❤️ The Devil’s House MC series is so awesome I’ve only just found them but am devouring the books one at a time. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
This one was slightly better than Patch’s book, but tbh, Randi could have done way better than Player. He was kind of a tool and I’m not sure what made her fall for him other than their physical attraction.
I love this series, this book included, but my only grip is that he needed to grovel a bit more. Sorry but she gave in to easily. Looking forward to the next book.
She's running from the wicked stepmother to her brother in the club for protection and meets Player. As secret are revealed and Patch and Katherine marry.
I liked Randi’s relationship with her brother but no matter how things turned out I never did grow to like Player. Lots of interesting characters and I plan to continue the series.
This was okay. Looking back I feel like nothing really happened, it was just 200 pages of them refusing to admit they had feelings for eachother and pushing the other away.
What an incredible amazing fantastic story. This series is great. The MC'S are so hot and sexy. They find their women and WOW🔥🔥🔥!!!! Loved it. 🔥❣️✨️🔥❣️💓🔥❣️✨️
