A man chastises his lazy dog as they both sit on the porch of their little country house. He tells the dog if he were smart, then they'd go off and make lots of money and become famous. After all their work and fame, they would buy a small house for two in the country and retire there. Perhaps the dog is smarter than the man originally thought.

man tells dog a number of things he would be doing "if he was a smart dog". kinda dumb...although ending is a bit redeeming.
