Rate this book
Tom Anderson has just awakened in a strange world. As he is struggling to comprehend his new surroundings and determine how to reunite with his family, Tom stumbles upon an old neighbor and friend from the past who is all too willing to help. While encountering one obstacle after the other, Tom and Stella Greenwich explore the roller coaster that is Tom's life-from past to present and back again-on a vigilant search for answers. Turns out, Tom and his family have not been seen or heard from in over six months. As Stella leads Tom through his unpleasant past, she attempts to help him piece together the mysterious circumstances that landed him there in the first place. But what they discover together may be more surprising than either ever imagined. The Artisan shares the story of one man's journey into a strange world as he attempts to find his way back to his family and his true self.

The Artisan is a strange book. The story was somewhat entertaining and became more so as the book progressed. It is told in both "present" time and through flashbacks and involves a man looking for his family with the help of a neighbor. The neighbor happens to be someone whom the man helped deal with her divorce by way of meditation techniques. those meditation techniques and the results of them figure greatly in the telling of the story. The ending of the book did not feel right to me, thus the 3 star rating.
