So let's tackle this review in two parts. After this book is the juxtaposition of a magnificent love story and a teaching tool for diabetics.
1. As a teaching tool this book is great! I don't have diabetes but I have many family members who do and this book offers a thorough but not preachy explanation of the dangers of allowing the disease to be uncontrolled. It also offers hope. This is not a world ending disease. You just have to put the effort in.
2. I loved this story! I thought Gabe and Christy were moving a little fast at first but that feeling dissipated. Their love story is beautiful. The strength they give one another is inspiring. All the while they are outrunning hit men trying to silence Christy, the girl who got away. It is their love and faith that pull them through.
