Just what I needed, Thanks Tristi!
This book is aimed a faithful latter-day saint women and was just what I needed. It's a quick read one I easily knocked out in a couple of hours but is packed full of quotes and stories that I really related to. There is a lot of wisdom within the few pages of this book. Tristi writes in a way that motivates without sugar coating or condemning. I gleaned a lot from this wonderful little gem.

Very spiritually insightful

This was a very inspirational book. I really enjoyed reading about other women and the way they built strength. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on marriage and children.

I had the privilege of reading this book and I am very grateful I did. It is an amazing book. I LOVED it.

Tristi writes with courage and conviction and you can feel her strength in the pages of this book. She doesn't try to sugar-coat anything but tells it like it is. As women of God we must be strong and we find that strength in keeping the commandments. We find that strength in turning to Christ instead of the world.

Tristi shares examples and her conversational-style writing makes you feel like she's in the room with you teaching you these concepts. These aren't new concepts, but Tristi helps you see how they apply in your life, right here, right now.

I read the book while traveling to Florida to see my daughter and I'm sure some of the passengers on the plane wondered why I kept tearing up or why I'd say, "Yes, this is exactly how I feel" or "I love this." I kept pointing out passages to my husband and saying, "This one is great."

I highly recommend this book. I think every woman would benefit from reading it whether they are single or married, young or old. I especially loved the chapter on finding strength in talents. I love to write, but sometimes, I feel like I should be cleaning out the basement or organizing the linen closet or scrubbing the baseboards or sewing all the wardrobe for my kids instead of taking time to write and nurture that talent. However, Tristi reminds us that Heavenly Father has given us talents to nurture and to share and we can find strength in the talents He has given us.

Awesome book!

Before I even finished this book, I was already recommending it to women I came in contact with. After finishing, I'm still recommending it! Tristi uses the perfect examples to back up her thoughts. The stories were interesting, uplifting, and inspiring. It's obvious that she put time and research in to the writing of this book. You can feel the love behind her words and the desire she has to share with women their importance on this earth and their role in Heavenly Father's plan.

Tristi highlights many subjects including our roles as women (wives, mothers, singles). She discusses Satan's desire to bring us down, his tactics, and why he does this. She talks about our individual worth to our Heavenly Father and how we can show our gratitude to him. Her words encourage growth, strength, learning, love, joy, hope, faith, and confidence. She also stresses our need to be better and gives that much-needed nudge to continue to be stronger and more steadfast.

I highly suggest this book be read with a highlighter and/or pen of some sort. There is so much from this book that I want need to remember. In fact, I found myself highlighting about as much as I left blank.

Tristi's book is exactly what I've been needing to read. I think this is a book that every woman should read, especially those struggling with their purpose in life or self-worth. It's also a great way to jumpstart a desire to progress in life and become a better person.

Women of Strength is a short but power packed message every woman in our day and age should read. Tristi uses talks, quotes and personal experience to teach about the trials women face and how to maintain their role as protector of the home, nurturer and daughter of God. Her chapters speak to whatever station of life women find themselves in- whether married, single, or divorced. And her voice is down to earth with an added touch of humor at times. I found the writing smooth and easy to relate to. For me, it was a message so needed and well thought out by a wise author who is trying to help women to w find their place here they can thrive. She invites us to "take a stand" to face challenges head on and guard our castle against those who would hurt our children and spouses.

I highly recommend Women of Strength as a clean, uplifting non fiction read. Tristi is so talented and I'd gladly give her book as a gift to the women around me

Day to day life struggles can really pull us down. Keeping up with the kids, our jobs, church callings, yard work, laundry, cleaning, etc. make us tired. Being able to review Tristi Pinkston's new book, Women of Strength, was the breath of fresh air I needed right now. I needed to be reminded of who I am, and how important I really am in this world and in my children's lives.

The 140 pages of Women of Strength are powerfully packed with messages that will make you think, make you thankful, and encouraged. Some of my favorite chapter titles(Out of the 14 chapters) were:
-Divine Identity
-Womanhood
-Strength in Parenting
-Strength in Keeping the Commandments
-Strengths in Talents
-Becoming Strong

This book is amazing! I love the way that Tristi writes and tells us women just how great we really are, even though Satan tries to tell us otherwise. I love her story at the beginning about the King protecting his castle and the symbolism of that throughout the book. This is a book that all women should read to learn just what we all need to do to become Women of Strength!

The messages in this book will stay with me for a long time. Even weeks later, I find myself thinking about something Tristi mentioned or said. In a day when so much about womanhood is misunderstood and looked down on, Tristi's book is both refreshing and hopeful. Her stories and examples were fitting and memorable. I am glad I got a chance to read it.
