Nine Lessons of Successful School Leadership Teams distills a decade of on-the-ground innovation and research pointing to what school leadership teams can do to focus on and increase student achievement. Case studies from schools and districts anchor the discussion of strategies that have evolved over a decade of work with more than 23,000 school leaders. I don't know. I suppose I was hoping for a more practical guide for establishing School Leadership Teams rather than a book that provided general advocacy for the concept of said teams. I was particularly annoyed that they seemed to advocate for a particular "program" out of California at every turn. Every time they'd hint at something practical, it turned into "our program can help you."
