This book is awesome, hundreds of first hand accounts of waging war in Hampdens, Whitleys, Wellingtons, etc, you will never get nearer to flying in these old warhorses. Feel the terror and fear as these young men fought to survive. All this starts on page one. This is a huge book, a pick it up again and again one. This book is like all the old paperback stories of Bomber Command I read in the fifties crammed into one vast tome. Its so readable.Its head and shoulders over every book in my collection. Sell the house, buy this book..
