Some nice maps and details but very limited before 1914 and some errors. Probably because in 1975 they didn’t have all the information about the First and Second World wars yet.

The maps are nice and Banks annotates them with brief summaries, but it's a bit one-dimensional and they would be more effective in the context of a more complete history.
