Stephen A. Ross is the Franco Modigliani Professor of Financial Economics and a Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
In the past he occupied the Chair of Sterling Professor of Economics and Finance at Yale University and, before that, he was Professor of Economics and Finance at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).
The textbook does a good job of explaining corporate financial principles. Because our professor loosely based his class on the lesson plans and added HBR cases to enhance the experience, we didn't get as much value out of the exercises and examples. I would recommend this for folks who already had financial accounting or will combine this with some accounting principle exercises.
