Delos: The Moon’s Eye by Blake Miller is the second book in the Delos series, an epic fantasy saga that follows the adventures of four young heroes who embark on a perilous quest to save a magical world from an ancient evil. The book is a sequel to Delos: The White Tree. I read the first book last year and I enjoyed it, so I was super excited to get my hands on the sequel. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
The story begins with Cynthia Summers and Kaden Krossway who have discovered their special abilities and their connection to the mysterious world of Delos. They learn that the Lil of Lurkur, a powerful and benevolent being who protects the forest of Lurkur, has gone missing. They join forces with Alec Mulsiver, a young mage who has befriended them, and a surprising fourth companion to find her. Their journey takes them to Diluvium, a land of water and ice, where they must undergo the Quest of Six Waters to claim what they need to save the Lil’s life: the Seventh Water. However, no one has survived the Quest in over 6,000 years.
Delos: The Moon’s Eye is a well-written and well-paced book that delivers on all fronts. The author has created a rich and immersive world that is full of magic, mystery, and adventure. The characters are likable and relatable, each with their own personality, strengths, and flaws. The plot is engaging and exciting, with twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The book also explores themes such as friendship, loyalty, courage, sacrifice, and destiny.
The author has created such a wonderful world that is full of magic, mystery, and adventure. I loved Cynthia and Kaden’s bond. They are so supportive and protective of each other. I also loved Alec’s character. He is so funny and smart. And I won’t spoil who the fourth companion is, but trust me, you’ll love him too.
The plot was so exciting and unpredictable. There were so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The book also had a lot of emotion and depth. It explored themes like friendship, loyalty, courage, sacrifice, and destiny. It made me laugh, cry, gasp, and cheer. If you are a fan of epic fantasy novels that combine action, adventure, romance, humor, and suspense, then you will this.
