Read for ESS Early Childhood Policy in the US - gives a lot of good context about the research, political climate, etc, but getting into the nitty gritty of passing bills and running bureaucracy made it so dense and confusing. I may just not have sufficient knowledge of congressional proceedings but I was often confused about what was going on; also would get confused by the chronology as it wasn't totally linear and jump around from year to year. But, illuminating and interesting.
