When D. F. Krieger was banned from writing contests at her school, she immediately set it in her head that she would become a professional writer. Since then, she has thrown away her plans of world domination through books, but she still enjoys writing. Her tastes run from classy urban witches to dragons, space pirates to shape shifters. By the time she pens her final book with a hand ravaged by age, she hopes to introduce her readers to many alternate worlds, lines of thinking, and captivating characters.

You can find D. F. on the East Coast, hiding away from the real world with a gleam in her eye and a plot in her head. She resides with her husband, kids, and pets; who all kindly put up with her random bouts of laughter (over things she can't explain) and journal collecting fetish.

It's always hard to rate an anthology because the writing style is different for each story. Throw in a person's erotic tastes and rating gets REALLY difficult. In all I found Ravaged to be highly enjoyable. Hot, steamy and graphic with just enough story to make it more than gratuitous sex.

From a short about stumbling upon a sexy were in the woods to a geeky guy getting lucky with a hot dolphin shifter; Ravaged covers just about every spectrum of fantasy pertaining to shifters you could think up.

My favorite story was Sheep Shifter by Erin O'Riordan where Alice makes a delightfully naughty return 'beyond the looking glass'. I never imagined the Cheshire Cat could be so sexy ;)

The wonderful thing about anthologies is that if one story turns out not to be your 'cup a' tea you have nine more to choose from! I highly suggest checking this one out when you're in the mood for something on the wild side.

*This one is classified as Erotic for a reason folks. If you're not into sex in just about every variation it's probably not for you.

Won a PDF of this - yay thank you SJ Thomas!

Overall, great balance of story and sexiness. Good mix of stories and plots, and contains all kinds of shifters. Some were better than others (IMHO), I did a short note as I read each story but all were worth a read! Contains a TON of stories :)

Tamed by KRR Bridgstreet
Interesting premise that moves quickly! There are a lot of names thrown at you, many of which begin with Rs. I didn't realize this was so adult...whoops. The vulgarity doesn't seem to match the story. No explanation of the mechanics of how anything works, which is a bit disappointing, but over a pretty sexy/hot story. Ending is random, though upon finishing the story I realize the author drops hints/foreshadows.

On a Full Moon by Silvia Violet
Short and sweet, literally on both counts. Ends on a hopeful note. You don't know too much about the characters, but enough to make you like them, identify with them (loneliness), and want them to do well together.

Pleasure Bound by SJ Thomas
My favorite so far! Enough story to actually have a decent plot and probably be made in to a full length novel but still sizzling. You get a glimpse of each character and what makes them tick, but I would have liked to see more. Still, great read!

Sheep Shifter by Erin O'Riordan
Whoa; very trippy to read this particular visit to Wonderland...This short story is quite curious indeed. You see some familiar characters in a completely different way, and the erotic scenes are done in an almost Victorian way - I suppose to match the original story.

The Arcadian Cure by Annabeth Leong
Unfortunately I'm annoyed by the presumptuous, all-knowing American tourists that disregard sage, and friendly, advice. Especially Melissa's slowness! But it was short and over with quickly; the erotic scene not quite as wild or vivid as I was guessing it would be. Who knew a cure would be so simple? Actually, the solution seems too simple...

Her Pride, My Joy by DF Krieger
Interesting premise; this could probably be a longer book or series of short stories. Because this is so short, you're only given the basics of the situation, though I am curious as to how this came out. Very short, pretty good F/F interaction.

Heart of Stone by Persephone Jones
Cute - I liked the ending of this story, and overall their lovemaking seemed fairly gentle. You don't really learn anything about either character, but just enough to make the story work.

Barely There by Leona Bushman
Mama bear, literally! Third story in a row that uses double meaning in their title. I really liked the chemistry between the two characters, and how the ending definitely leaves you wondering about the future and wanting to read more.

Internal Savagery by Mickey J Corrigan
This story centers on a male, who is partially surrounded by crazy bitches. He's doing a heroic job of staying true to his love, Melissa, and I have to say I would give him a nice hearty pat on the back for that. It also makes me wonder what I'm like during that time! LOL. Hopefully not as monstrous as Mel or man-hating as Dr. Moody. Unfortunately I didn't like where the plot went; I feel super bad for Bradley and thinks he deserves better. OH well. Ending is very Twilight Zone.

Encantado by Heather Whittington
Seriously interesting start to this book - makes you wonder where this is going and who is going to hook up! Interestingly enough, this centers on a mysterious girl who is leaving a trail of death behind her. Contains voyeur and an actual experience for our lucky protagonist; ending is mysterious yet hopeful.

There is so many great stories in this anthology. You get to meet all kinds of paranormals  in this book. Some of them will even leave you wanting more. You will get to meet shape-shifters, mermaids, and other beings.

Some of the stories will leave you shocked and they are different than anything you have ever read before. None are over several chapters. This book is a great way to read something from each author. They are each unique in their own way. Some of the endings will leave you wondering if there will be more written about them. There were a couple in here that I couldn't really wrap my head around.

Tamed- This book is about shifters. This story is something that will take you to a different place and really leave you wanting to get to some secrets that you never get the answers to. Rasa rides a lion and is very exotic and she never knows the lion Saul who she rides on can turn into a human until she is in her twenties. Saul is very protective over Rasa and saves her many times. You just never really get all you want to know in this story. I'm left with some questions that wasn't answered. This story is just a little too out there for me and it wasn't one of my favorites.

On A Full Moon- This book is a shifter book about wolves. Samantha is walking in the woods when she runs into this wolf and she knows she needs to get away. Boy is she surprised when the wolf turns into her neighbor and he becomes very demanding. Nate was turned into a wolf and know lives by himself in the woods. When these two come together it is explosive. When you read this book you need to love alpha's that take over but still leave you with a choice to take it or go. I would like to know more about this couple and if it works out.

Pleasure Bound- This is another shifter story. Logan is a shifter who was kidnapped and is being held and tortured. This group is wanting to know where his clan lives and wants to know all his secrets. He has been held for two years and wonders if he will ever be saved. He does good until he meets his captures daughter, Celeste. He finds out that she is his mate and it is hard for him to lie to her. I can only imagine how hard it would be to know your mate is the one that tortures you for information and it would be different if she knew what really happened. This was a great story and I would love to read more by this author.

Sheep Shifter- This story is a little out there. It puts a whole new turn on Alice In Wonderland. If you ever thought that, that story was strange this one is even weirder. I just don't really get this story much. Alice is turned into a sheep and is taken by a man. I just felt I was in another universe when I read this story. I can say that this wasn't one of my favorites and I just really didn't understand this story much.

The Arcadian Cure- This is another shifter book. Melissa and her boyfriend Kyle decide to see if the stories they hear about Mt. Lykaion are true. Turns out they are and Melissa has to do her best to save her boyfriend. Let's just say that she has to tie him up and wear him out. This is a pretty short story but something that will make you want to read more.

Her Pride, My Joy- This is about a shifter and it is a F/F story. Tina works at a zoo and you just can't imagine why she has to hurry and get to her office before a certain time. This story is about five pages and you don't really get the much answered in this one. This isn't usually the stories that I like to read so I just couldn't get into it.

Heart of Stone- This story deals with Gargoyles. I love to read stories like this one. It had a great storyline in it and you know that you have to get to the bottom of Griffin's secrets. There is a reason that he treats women the way he does. He knows there is something different about Sabra. Sabra has to do an interview about Griffin and she wants to get some answers on some things that Griffin doesn't tell just anyone. They have a connection and you don't get to it until almost at the end. This is one of my favorites in the trilogy. I want to read more from this author and I want more about Sabra and Griffin.

Barely There- This story has a werebear and werewolf. Fern is a bear-shifter that ends up having to save her daughter from a real bear. There is something going on with the bears that are making them different and they are getting angry and doing things they normally don't. Bill is a werewolf that helps Fern save her daughter. In this story you see a wolf and bear have feelings for each other but they know they shouldn't be together. I felt at the end of this story that there would be more. You never get to what is making the bears act the way they do and I want to see if these two can make a relationship work.

Internal Savagery- Bradley loves his girlfriend Melissa but he doesn't get her mood swings. She has been acting very different and he can't understand what is going on. He wonders why he is still with her at times. I will say that this story has a video camera to thank for saving this relationship. I just never really got this story. It was something different and the author did a great job with that but I was still left asking myself what really happened in this book.

Encantado- This is a story about a mermaid or siren whichever one you want to call it. Derek really likes this girl that he see's at a party and wants to know more about her. Yara is what Derek has been wanting and he just wants to get to know her. The only thing Derek knows is that every time Yara gets with a guy they end up drowning and he has to get to the bottom of it. The way the story ended makes me wonder if there will be more.

Every story in this anthology was pretty hot and some was just a little too out there for me. I would love to read more by these authors just to see if their writing styles are different in their other books. I have found several authors that I want to read more from and some that I will look into. I enjoyed this anthology. It gave me a chance to read from some new authors and some that I have read from before.

Okay...to start...this is MY opinion, and I'll try to be as gentle as possible with my reasons for my ratings, though I'm not sure it will work. I bought this on its release day, excited for a great shifter antho, and waited to review in order to clear my head...

Tamed by KRR Bridgstreet - 1 Star
*SPOILER ALERT* This grieves me, I don't like 1 star reviews, but I left this story ill - quite literally. I'm sure this is a "not my cup of tea" kind of thing...but here it is. I don't like stories where there is NO warning of a human dipping his/her hand into a fresh animal kill and just chowing down. The unnecessary graphic detail was better suited to horror - which I don't read - and turned my stomach. And to have an ending where the male "hero" is just a lion in pseudo human form, who impregnates the heroine with a litter...and then to have half the litter die or be killed, then to just be like, "oh well"...I won't go on. Even now, not good.

On A Full Moon by Silvia Violet - 5 stars
I really enjoyed this one. Wolf shifters are some of my favorites, and this is a goodie. I wish this had been one of her stand alone stories, though, so I could have had the author's typical depth of character and story. But for a short-short story...truly wonderful.

Pleasure Bound by SJ Thomas - 4 stars
I liked this story too. A great lion shifter story that helped wash down the first one of the antho. The only beef I have with it is the title. It is misleading...but the story itself was very good. A certain spoiler - if you don't like your stories where the heroine inflicts pain on the hero, skip this one. You'll be missing out, but it's a large part of the story, and it's not BDSM. Another that I wish had been longer.

Sheep Shifter by Erin O'Riordan - Unrated
It's a twist on the Alice in Wonderland theme...Unfortunately, I couldn't get into this story to read it. But I'm sure there are other readers who will have an opinion. I just can't offer one on a story I did not read.

The Arcadian Cure by Annabeth Leong - 2 stars
This story needed far more depth than the author gave it. The two American tourists sailed over the TSTL mark and the "cure" to being a werewolf was a full night of sex...to wear the new wolf out. Huh? C'mon. Give me something to believe here.

Her Pride, My Joy by DF Krieger - 3 stars
This was an okay story. Not great, not awful. It's a good way to spend a few minutes. A lioness shifter and a sanctuary worker share some pretty hot moments and there are hints to a future.

Heart Of Stone by Persephone Jones - 4 stars
I really liked this one. Great imagination that I'm sure if it had been in a longer format would have sang. Two gargoyle shifters find happiness and acceptance together - and I really would love it if the author did more with this hero and heroine.

Barely There by Leona Bushman - 3 stars
I liked this bear/wolf shifter story but so much was left wide open, I felt like I was left hanging at the end. Though they did have great sex. ;)

Internal Savagery by Mickey J Corrigan - 2 stars
This is a tale of a gorilla shifter who isn't aware she's a gorilla shifter (and neither are we until the end)...and the human male who suffers, then grooves on it. It was confusing and weird and I really wanted him to just dump the heroine and get someone who would treat him right.

Encantado by Heather Whittington - 2 stars
Okay, I don't like a heroine who commits murder - for a reason not told to us - and a hero who lets it happen. To his best friend, no less, all because he wants to get laid. Seriously? But the writing itself was solid, I just didn't like the story.

There was a really bad beginning to this anthology, and a really bad ending. There were a couple of shining stars in it, but not enough to keep me from deleting it from my collection.
