With Trent gone, Faith, the last witch in the world, feels she can not go on without him. The pain grows so intense that she shuts out her friends and loved ones to be alone; unsure of what to think about the paranormal world anymore. However, on a trip to see Gordon she realizes what she can do to make the pain go away. A spell.
But, the spell ends up back firing and Faith has now forgotten the past six months. All the memories of vampires, werewolves, and her magical training have vanished. And the first to find her is Louis who comes to whisk her away and change the course of her life forever.
Webs of lies and deceit have Faith feeling powerless and scared that when Louis gives her the option of becoming a slayer she takes it, hoping to get revenge on the race she believes stole the past six months of her life away. With the Goddess Circe interfering, Lilith still missing and Faith unable to remember Trent, no one knows what will happen next!
However, when a stranger enters her life bringing with him secrets to her missing memories, Faith can no longer trust those around her and must figure out for herself who is good and who is evil. The world of vampires and werewolves or that of slayers. The coin is still up in the air and Faith must make a choice of where her devotions lie.
Elizabeth J Kolodziej, a young fiction writer originally from Torrance California, is a smart and original thinker who has researched the origins of vampires, werewolves, and witches for many years. She writes her books from the knowledge she has gained while trying to be as original and inspiring as possible. Her books encompass both true folklore facts along with innovative ideas motivated by the great writers around her.
I try to do spoiler free reviews however this review may give a couple spoilers on the 1st and 2nd books. Wow what a ride! This book gives you the answers you were looking from the first two books in the series. It also takes you on a wild ride that is Faith’s life. This series just kept getting better as it went along. I give the book 4.5 stars.
The characters are good when they are good and very bad when they are bad. I have to say I really love to hate Issac, the alchemist, especially in this book. He is just so evil and crazy that it makes him a very interesting character and a great bad guy. Faith’s character really messed things up in this book but in the end I feel she made the right choice and got it straightened out as best she could. You could see all of her decisions that were made helping her grow into a better person. She starts out weak at the beginning of the book (not that I can blame her in her grief for Trent) and by the end of the book she was really a kick butt character again. I really enjoyed Patrick, a human, in this story. It was nice to have a non-supernatural character thrown in as well. Morgan, the master vampire shows her vengeful side when she finds out what Faith has been doing when she had gone missing from the vampire world.
The plot of this book was my favorite of the three because of the twists and turns in the book along with the multiple mysteries and yes even the drama. This story had even more than the first two books had and it was great! The story does have its happy ending but I wonder if there will be more in store for Faith, Trent, Morgan, Vincent and Mac. I looked and it looks like there will be a fourth book. Yay!
I only had one part in this story that I was unclear on. I did not understand the price the demon demands for the spell Faith performs at the end. Since there is a fourth book I am assuming this will be explained in the next book although Trent didn’t seem to concerned about it when she told him.
I will be reading the novella for Zou Tai and the new release novella for Mac soon to find out more about them. I will definitely read more from this author.
*I received this book free from the author in return for an honest review.*
Author Elizabeth Kolodziej has done it again! Book 3 of the Last Witch series DID NOT DISAPPOINT! fell in love with this series when I first read Vampyre Kisses. This was the first book that did a FANTASTIC job of mixing up all the supernatural beings that we have grown to love into one great, action packed, booty kicking, amazing characters and non stop action! NO LIE! I love this series. The one thing I love most about Faith, she rolls with life. She does not give up, she always finds the strength to achieve what ever she needs to do. She is an amazing character.
In Witch Devotion's,Faith is tested to her limits. Over come with grief, Faith falls victim to her own powers. Will Faith find her way back to who she has always been or will the new Faith continue to destroy the one species she has grown to appreciate? *trying very hard to not give away any spoilers*. If you have not read this series yet, I suggest getting Vampyre Kisses and allowing yourself to enter an amazing world. Vampires, wolves and witches OH MY!!
I loved this book! I could not put it down!!!!! There were lots of twists and turns! Once again Elizabeth has delivered a great story and she continues to grow as an author. The pacing in this book was spot on! There was never a dull moment! It is great coming back to this series with each new book and getting reacquainted with the characters! I cannot wait to see where this series goes!!!
Elizabeth never disappoints! WOW! Being as I read both books 1 and 2 much of the questions I had were answered in this book. I was urgently waiting on this book to be released due to the horrifying ending of Book two. I was so upset but when I began this book and realized where the author was taking this plot I was instantly hooked!! Elizabeth just keeps getting better and better with this series. There have been times where I have read a series and would stop mid series because it would just get redundant. But not The Last Witch Series, Oh NO! She just grabs from the beginning and takes you for a ride! I loved the mysteries and the awesome twist Witch Devotions had that once I was finished I couldn’t believe how good this book really was! Good Job Elizabeth!
I have grown to love all the characters in this series, yes I said all even Issacc. Since book one, Mac, Trent, Zou Tai and Morgan have stood by Faith and It’s nice to see them all back in Witch Devotions. It was a little nerve racking when the story took a huge turn for the worse but I think that’s what makes it the best out of the three. If I ever get to interview Elizabeth I would love to know who, what, or how did she come up with this fantastic story line because by far it’s my favorite. With not giving away too much, What will you do if the person your destined to live your entire life with, just dies. Trust me when I say you’ll want to get your hands on this series! It’s that good!
This author has become one of my favorites and not just because of this awesome series, but simply because of the way she writes. Her stories are mysterious, romantic, paranormal and witty and extremely well written. I can always count on Elizabeth’s stories to be a good one and can’t wait until the novella of Zou Tai comes out and a little birdy told me that book 4 was coming for The Last Witch Series?? Count me down for when that one’s released!! Overall, I highly recommend The Last Witch Series to everyone!
