She likes to laugh with people, but not at people. The beach is her favorite vacation spot. She’s a spectator fan of several sports, with tennis being her favorite. She doesn’t enjoy being in the dark and is fearful of snakes!
Jo holds a BA degree with honors from Lincoln Memorial University (TN), where she is a member of their Literary Hall of Fame. She earned the MEd degree from Mississippi State University.

A wonderfully written story of Bernice and Gene, as well as, a cast of other interesting characters that entertained and amazed me with their love, understanding, and devotion to their spouses and friends. The story is set in the 1950s and the descriptions of what was happening then are well depicted. I was drawn into the story from the first few pages.
The firm of Colbert & Colbert where the characters worked seemed credible and came to life through the author's descriptions of everyday business. There are some surprises along the way, as well as, some sweet romantic moments.
An entertaining and uplifting story filled with scriptural content which enriched the story. Another good read from the author. Highly recommended.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and choose to review it. All my opinions are my own.
For me, this story was very...nice, vanilla, okay. The main characters were warm and friendly in their charmed, without obstacle lives. A secondary, finally engaged couple added the drama element. It was hard to believe how dense some people could be, even when the situation turned dangerous, in excusing/tolerating the behavior of 'a poor country girl with no friends.' Please. Even in the 70's, a predator is a predator and crazy is crazy.
Love Jo Huddleston's romance books. They are clean not full of the stuff we don't need to get a great romance . Her books are always well written and with wonderful of her life with characters. Bernice has finally found someone she wants to spend rest of her life with but there is someone else that has something else in mind. To the point there is a gun fire. Will Bernice and Gene make it? Don't miss out on this great book.
