Good book. The forward, by Rich Lusk, is well done.
First, the bad. The book could use some editing and formatting work, but these are only slightly distracting.
Second, the good. Gallant makes a lot of really great points and shows them from multiple perspectives. When he first introduces a passage or concept, he is quick to show how it has traditionally been understood and then both the strengths and weaknesses of this understanding. Then, where he disagrees, he builds a cogent case for why.
In this book, Gallant shows what Paul means by his use of the word Law, or Torah, through Galatians and Romans. Then he looks at a passage from Jesus that appears to be at odds with what he says, in addition to showing how and why he differs from other perspectives.
It is well-written, overall, although it is a difficult concept he covers relatively quickly (about 100 pages), and therefore will need to be re-read in order to really grasp the import of what he is saying.
