After staying up all night to watch a movie about alien invasions, Candace is convinced that Ferb is an alien. The story, intended for Level 3 readers in Grades 1-3 provides a storyline that bounces between Candace’s quest to prove Ferb is an alien and Perry’s “Agent P” mission to thward Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s plans. While the side story provides, what is likely in a typical episode of Phineas and Ferb, it might be difficult for a developing reader to understand, and it doesn’t make use of strong enough transitions or changes in the appearance of the text to be useful in instruction of multiple plots in one story.

This is a level 3 reader, and if a child is to read on their own the child would need to be a 'good' level 3 reader to do this on their own with no help.

The book is very similar to the television show it's based off of. So if your child has seen the show then they will know what's going on and what will happen so maybe tempted to skip some harder words while they are reading. BUT it may encourage your child to read as well.

Candance thinks her brothers have turned into an alien and she sneaks around trying to figure it all out.
