Peter Digby is Manager of Taylors supermarket, part of a national chain. When he is handed the chance to make money without actually putting his hand in the till he surprises himself and takes it. It maybe classed as white collar crime but the drawbacks are frustrating and difficult to handle. Having the money becomes a bigger headache running two homes two cars and two lives. His work colleges friends and even family are unaware of his rich alternate lifestyle so what is the point? It is like winning the lottery but losing your ticket.

Life is full of choices. Strange ones are employing the most incompetent security firm around, Beaver Patrol. Embarrassing ones are ringing prospective dates up based on your friend’s advice. Your assistant manager is hard working but so timid he bears the brunt of all jokes. The checkout girls show little mercy and yet he puts up with it.

Clearly it is a balancing act so why complicate it by getting involved with an auditor sent to check up on you? Horse Racing, Velcro, Women dressed as school girls and the possibility she could earn £1000 for a couple of hours are some of the reasons.

Can he get out and cover his trail completely?

Andrew M Gallagher Born in Manchester, England: Attended St Ambrose Barlow School and De La Salle College until making a first step into the world of paid employment. This was hugely over rated. Selling New Cars during the early 80's was fun rather than profitable which led him to the International Freight Industry. The last 23 years have been spent in the movement of goods around the Globe; Imports, Exports and haulage to all corners of the United Kingdom.

To raise spirits and relieve the burden of money in his wallet he became involved with Horse Racing even owning shares in the frustrating beasts. There is refreshing but very infrequent feeling to see a horse make it to the winners enclosure, priceless.

Cars are still a big interest as made clear from his book CheckOut 27. The purchase of the Range Rover and the salesman's patter he admits comes from experience and the heart!

Not content with giving you one book Andrew has started the second and works tirelessly towards its completion.

Peter Digby's life was ordinary. He was the manager of Taylor's supermarket and he has an adequate staff. Peter drove a small car and lived in an ordinary flat. There is however, another side to Peter's life. He's embezzling from the store where he works. He begins to feel his world falling apart when people from the head office show up to do an audit. Certain he's about to be found out, Peter decides he must find a way out. The audit will surprise Peter and you!

I loved this book! Quirky and funny, it will keep you smiling and laughing all the way through. Peter's paranoia is hysterical. The story is well written, even though I didn't quite agree with the ending! *smile* You'll wonder why someone hasn't actually tried to embezzle this way before. Poor Peter deserves the breaks he gets and more. This book is set in England which to me makes it all the more plausible. Check this one out, you'll be glad you did.

I found no issues.
