This old picture book has many of the usual photos of the big-name gangsters. However, for the detail-oriented reader or the gangster enthusiast, this book includes photos of lesser guys like Dave Petillo, Albert Tannenbaum, Tommy Pinnochio, and others. The accompanying text is mediocre and not terribly informative. The author plays up the massive crime syndicate from coast to coast; but there is no real analysis or scholarship.
