This exploration of stress analysis focuses on techniques for analysis in realistic settings. It provides coverage of mechanics of materials, theory of elasticity methods, and computer-oriented numerical methods-all supported with a broad range of fully worked-out examples.
just handed it down to a friend who'll be taking the course next year. i finished with it last year. didn't read it all, but finished the class. our prof copied from it on the board verbatim, i just highlighted. fairly good derivations of the equations, the steps were clear, but not a lot of problems with actual numbers, which is to be expected of a graduate level book. overall was good. i think will make a good reference.
