I'm the author of this book so I feel I cannot review it myself. It took a long time to decide to make it into a book. I bought a journal about 12 years ago and its full now. I have written poetry since I first became a teenager and most is just the emotional angst kind. Most of it means the world to me. There will be more volumes to come. This is only the tip of the iceberg...

Ms. Worrell has touched on a subject that is very hard for a lot of people to handle. The subject is of depression and how a lot of people feel but are afraid to say anything. These are poems that she is sharing with us and isn’t afraid to do it. I have a lot of respect for this author to share some of the feelings she may have felt or that others are feeling. They are well written and I’m glad she shared them with us.

WOW, Kristi hit alot of points about depression and the way people feel and just don't know how to say or express it. These poems suck you right and make you think and feel the way the characters in each poem did! But of course I could relate to alot of those poems myself and like everybody else didn't know how to let those feelings out! She hit some of my down points in my life that have happened to me in the past!!

Review:

"Broken Angel Volume One" by Christina Worrell was truly a wonderful read of twenty-two poems for anyone who has or is feeling defeated. The author really know who to get our attention with feelings that help you sort through life and then let them all out. Being able to capture the feelings of sad, down, and out... for we have all felt sometime in our daily life often not able to really let those
feelings out. Most times we are able to handle this depression and deal with these feelings with time and much care...even if that means seeking medical help from your physician.

All of the poems were wonderfully written and my favorite one was ... 'Unloved.' I can truly say Ms. Worrell did a wonderful job with these poems and I can understand why it took her so long to share this poetry. I found this poetry a touching collection of very deep emotions coming from love, heartache and suicide.

I found "Broken Angel Volume One" a very helpful read for me and I would like to recommend this to anyone that is dealing with depression as a excellent read. You are not alone.

I'm not a huge fan of poetry, I read this book because it was given to me for an honest review. Having said that, if I have to read poetry, this is the kind I want to read. Poems that mean something and poems that I can understand. If you are a love of poetry then you will be in heaven, if you, like me, aren't a huge fan. You will most likely still really enjoy this book. The poems tell a story and I really liked that part. All in all, good book of poems.

This is a touching collection of deeply emotional poems. Ranging from love, heartache and suicide, it is fiercely honest in its vulnerability and rawness of every poem. This is a collection made from years, put together for our pleasure. I enjoyed reading this collection and look forward to seeing more from Christina.

Kristi does an awesome job with these poems....i just love them....these kind of poems people have a hard time reading them...because of what the subject is.. i really admire kristi for sharing these and the feelings she had and that shows that she as a author she express her feelings and wants to share with others.

I always believe poetry can let u see a piece of a person's soul. and the poetry in here is a dark lovely. it's gothic, sad, beautiful, dark, and lovely. there is nothing wrong with looking in the dark and seeing something beautiful come out. i will be getting her second book or poetry soon i hope.
