I was very lucky to receive a copy of "Beyond Natural Skincare & Weight Loss",(Beyond Natural Cures, #3) by Aurore Adamkiewicz, through the Goodreads Giveaway Contest.

I loved the book.It is well researched and makes a person stop and think about taking necessary "baby steps" to living a more healthy life. The first three chapters were intended to educate the reader on how serious chronic conditions can be to heal, skin and weight conditions. Then Dr Aurore provides her simple and easy recommendations that anyone can utilize to heal themselves and make their skin beautiful, and loose weight naturally.I love her honesty and willing to share her knowledge and experience in this field.Dr Aurore also follows through to provide treatments and recipes to the general public that are both economical and simple to follow.

I definately need to loose alot of weight, and I will use this book as a reference novel to assist me on this process. If I learned one thing, I know that being "Healthy",is a combination of the body and mind being in sink.

Thank you so much Aurore for allowing me to read your book, and I will definately check out your first book, Beyond Natural Cures".

Great information!! I couldn't believe some of the things this book has taught me. The effects of bad food exposure, the charge and discharge to relaxation... Taking care of your mind is essential to take care of your body. Also the importance of detoxifying. Simple Secrets chapter is a must read! Im passing this book on to my sister, my mom and my uber-health oriented best friend =)

This is a wonderful companion to the book, "Beyond Natural Cures" by the same author. Tons of inspiration on how to get healthy the right way - and I enjoy the recipes, particularly the desserts! If you are ready to get real about your skin and overall health this is the book for you.

My roommate and I share all our books and she passed this one my way. I was actually really curious to see what it had to say and open to some new information. I really liked the ideas in this book about having to deal with the underlying emotional and mental problems while taking care of the physical. I thought it was an interested concept and very true. I was also left curious about some of the topics covered, so that's a good thing.

That being said, however, there was some bad. I definitely don't think this book is a good beginning point for anyone. I know there are books before it, but this book spent so much time recapping and summing up that I felt like it didn't all come together well. It also left me with a lot of information I didn't know what to do with, as well as a lot of information I'd need to verify before putting to use. I'd definitely recommend doing more research before trying anything in this book to find out things for yourself, because there aren't a ton of facts given to support some of the claims. I really liked the ideas presented, but I didn't feel like there was enough support that said things actually worked or enough factual support besides being told this is how it is or I think this is how it is. Like I said, I think this book would be a jumping off point. Something to get you interested before you go and do your own research.

I also had an issue with typos/editing mistakes and found them distracting at times.

Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone interested in alternate healing and lifestyles that is willing to do their own research before starting.

I received this book in a Goodreads first-reads giveaway.

I was really excited to receive this book but I was slightly let down after reading it. Since this book is titled 'Beyond Natural Skincare' I assumed it would be filled with useful info. about ... natural skincare. Most of it was about the author's personal stories - which were interesting - but since it was tailored to her issues I didn't really find it very helpful. There were a lot of spelling issues that bothered me as well, but that's not as important as the content. There were some useful things mentioned but the author didn't really go deep into anything.

Ok, I am partial, but I love my book! I actually have gone back to this over and over- just gleaning how I meticulously linked anthroposophy, ayurveda and orgonomy-incredible! This book is a triumph and an easy read. Obscure information such as jyotish or gem therapy is also included, learn and love!
