Dr. Timothy Frye has a plan to unleash a zombie apocalypse. But before he destroys all of human civilization, he first must get revenge on the bully who ruined his childhood. Zombie Apocalypse Serial presents the end of humanity in bite-sized chunks. Book One is 19,000 words (about 60 pages).
This book has a humorous, push the envelope take of a pre-zombie dominated world. The main characters future path for himself seems outlandish but fits well with the story line. It seems almost the author wrote the story to amuse himself, but may find a cult following. I really enjoyed this book. It kept my attention, though very far fetched at times, it is fun spirited and is a zombie plot so over embelished you can't help but get pulled in, like a diner murder mystery theater. I found myself at times thinking "oh how rediculous is that, how is anyone to belive that?", only to turn the page and go "oh". Fun little read. If you are a hardcore zombie fan, read it, it's fun, you may find yourself thinking if I could do this I might just give it a shot.
I got this to help curb my "The Walking Dead" withdrawls as the season just ended. I did not know what to expect from this book, it was free after all. What a good, quick read. Too quick. Ivana E is a witty and fun writer that helped explain everything that was going on with ease. So you know why Timothy is doing what he is doing....Great reason/justification for a zombie outbreak.....PeeBee's are pure genius!
It feels wrong to like this main character but I do.
I understand that this is a series and can only hope for more good writing and good times in #2. The cost for this next one is $3.99 so $2 for each, not bad....
May the next publication be longer with some visuals please.
Great book even though I was expecting something a little different.
It's the tale of Tim, a genius who was bullied all through school and the days leading up to his self made zombie apocalypse that's inspired by the great horrors stories in both book and movie form.
Now I was expecting a full on horror tale, brain munching zombies, terror filled survivors etc but even though it didn't turn out to be that kind of book, I still really enjoyed it, the inspiration that he gets from books and movies that most of us have read or seen makes it relatable. I very much enjoyed the sort of behind the scenes look into what brings on this particular zombie apocalypse.
Really good take on zombies, the author has read a lot of zombie books and seen a lot of movies. And has come up with some really good takes on the zombie plague. A lot of fun. Looking forward to the followups.
