It gives an good idea of what the religious ideas of David Koresh were. For people who don't study the bible, read the commentary and clarification by james Tabor

Reading this was a little like getting a glimpse into the ramblings of a mad bible fanatic who consumed too much LSD. It definitely seemed like being a fugitive of the law influenced the opening poem, as references to the "hunter" seemed a bit on the nose. I would have just taken this as harmless insanity had I not known the author was taking pre-teen followers as brides and gearing up for a violent conflict against the government long before the ATF showed up. These writings remind of the threat of religious fanatisism, regardless of whether it's cloaked in Christian or Islamic teachings. Being raised Christian, I find this work very disturbing, not because it contains some higher truth about the end of the world, but because it shows how great evils can be perpetrated by people full heartedly believing they are doing gods work.

What Koresh was writing when the standoff turned into a botched raid. The troubling thing is, this is actually relatively tame in comparison to the crap that’s regularly printed today.
