What kind of woman wants a man so badly that shes willing to lie to get him? What if that lie includes denying the fact that she has a child? Deborah Lewis is that woman. The suave, debonair Lynox Chase is the man Deborah has wanted for years. She almost had him, but then left him hanging when she decided to give her ex another try. With her ex no longer in the picture, Deborah is willing to eat crow and go claim Lynox. Shes a little worried he wont forgive her and take her back, but she hopes that two years has been enough time to get over it. The chase turns into more of a marathon for Deborah. Just when she thinks shes near the finish line, she learns that a woman with kids is a turn-off for Lynox. Can Deborah turn off being a mother just long enough to get Lynox to fall in love with her again?

Off-Kilter

Deborah broke up with Lynox in order to reconnect with Elton, her first love. What she didn't know, before packing up and moving over to Chile where he played professional basketball, was that he was already a married man. So now not only is she with child, she's a mistress. Two years later and Elton's out the picture. Deborah is back in Ohio and ready to get her life back on the right track. She'd fought long and hard to forgive and be forgiven. She's hoping that Lynox would like to also rekindle what they once shared.
A rough start, Deborah and Lynox hit a few bumps before they could agree that they were right where they wanted to be. While catching up, Lynox makes it clear that a woman with children is not the kind of woman he's interested in dating. Unfortunately, Deborah falls into that category. Could love the second time around be so cruel?

What would you do for the man of your dreams? A few fibs, maneuvering and chance meetings and Deborah can feel herself coming unglued. She's fighting with her mother, her pastor, warring with herself and God. No matter how hard she prays, it just seems as if God isn't listening. Can Deborah get help before it's too late?

THE SUNDAY ONLY CHRISTIAN by E.N. Joy is a very good read. I love that the story is multidimensional. On one side you're watching Deborah try to keep a secret. You also see as she struggles with her past childhood issues with her mother, the issues she's had in her past with forgiveness as well as her own parenting skills. It's easy to believe that a Christian easily walks in faith. E.N. Joy’s stories allow readers to see how God works.

This was a really good book on breaking the cycle in families. We sometimes say as a young person.....I don't want to be like him /her when I grow up because they are doing something that you don't like. And you look at yourself oneday as a grown adult and you are looking at that same person in disbelief ...... This book really brings that issue all the way home, but with a good ending. I already started spreading the word on this one.

It was a great read. It showed truth how a person will change their entire lifestyle just so that the person they are interested in can stay with them not realizing that they are causing more harm than good.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½⛪️🤥

My thoughts: 🔖44% Location 1414 of 3177 Chapter Twenty-one - Deborah is on my nerves, her actions are just crazy and make no sense. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Like the 2 previous books in the series, this story continues storylines from the New Day Divas series which puts readers who haven't read that series, like myself, at a disadvantage. I think you should certainly read the series in order as the characters are presented in the stories as if you already know them. I think Deborah got off too easily but these books always tend to have happy endings, I think I would have appreciated more if mental issues were addressed. I have finally become accustomed to Joy's writing style. I may read the first and third series from this set in the future, these characters are interesting. However these books are practically urban fiction with prayer, they don’t say the words but you know what they're supposed to be, so it's the same as cussing to me.

Recommend to others: Sure. This was an interesting take on motherhood.

Reading the final book of the Still Divas Series was truly an eye-opener & hands-down the best for the series. I'm glad that Deborah came to her senses and realized that in order to move on in life she had to let go of the past. I took this story to heart as I've been holding on to some things that should've been removed my mind a long time ago. Can't wait to read the next series of "Always Divas" & "Forever Divas"

Sister Deborah

Oh yess! E.N.Joy has done it again! So much in my own Life reflected while reading this book. I am single and have never denied my children but I can relate to the main character in this story. I know women of all colors will recognize and possibly receive healing from their past ongoing into their future! Praise God for such revelation.

I was irritated with the character, she was acting ridiculous! As a parent, I can't imagine not telling someone I'm dating about my kids. .this is a work of fiction, but it's a real situation. .women so desperate that they deny their own kids....it's sad

The Sunday Only Christian by E. N. Joy!!!!! Deborah was in a relationship with Lynox, but runs off with Elton to Chile. Elton was a professional basketball player in Chile. Once reaching Chile, Deborah learns that she is the mistress. Deborah is now pregnant and decides to move back to Ohio. Deborah reconnects with Lynox and start to get to know one another again. Deborah finds out that Lynox is not interested in dating a woman that has a child. This sends Deborah over the edge, fighting with her mom, her pastor, and being mean to her son. Deborah begins to fall apart…but here comes Mother Doreen!!!! Excellent book!!!

Phenomenal

Another great episode of Church soap opera in print. This episode focuses on the drama between Debra, her son, mother and her hopeful boo, Lenox. As always the characters are relatable, and God shows up with a lesson every time.

Oh my, I love all of E.N. Joy's books. The characters in this one had me holding my stomach from laughing so hard. I recommend this book to everyone. It really makes you rethink your role as a Christian because the characters relate with someone in the church that you may know.
