Beautiful illustrations with some lovely comments. The perfect coffee table book!

The person on the cover is Lady Gaga for the photography duo's Hello Kitty themed photo shoot. This image is shot in a Masonic Lodge, and she looks slightly odd because she has eyes painted on her eyelids! This is just one example of Markus and Indrani's (a former couple who are a powerhouse photography duo)wildly creative ideas for photos. They have photographed some very famous people, including Iman and David Bowie. They have done many famous album covers that you will recognise, including David Bowie's "Heathen", Beyonce's "Dangerously in Love", and Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi." This book is mainly filled with their celebrity images. They are especially gifted at photographing African and Latin American subjects. Either through lighting or post-production their subjects seem to glow from within, or to possess a radiant aura.

Artsy photos of famous people and models. All well done, but I found myself thinking they had more money behind them than soul.
