This colorfully illustrated book is about imaginary friends, fossils, and dinosaurs. The story is not one to quickly read aloud as it is long and complex, but it will provide parents plenty of opportunity to discuss its various aspects. My impression was marred by the fact the story did not correspond to its title at all. Unfortunately I had envisioned the dinosaurs romping among the fruits and vegetables!

The main character is a young girl and there are no male characters except her father. Because of the subject matter of imaginary friends, this is directed towards younger children who are capable of following a relatively long story.
