Seconda parte de "Il vulcano d'oro" di Jules Verne.
Questo romanzo narra i fatti che si svolgono finalmente in prossimità del vulcano d'oro, questa montagna che secondo le informazioni raccolte da Ben Raddle nasconde un giacimento molto ricco del noto minerale aureo.
La storia è leggermente più appetibile rispetto alla prima parte, quanto meno non viene tirata troppo per le lunghe, ma resta comunque - vuoi perché un'opera incompiuta, terminata postuma alla morte dello scrittore - tra le meno riuscite del grande maestro francese.
