This will be the last Phantom Detective novel I’ll read. They are so dull compared to the over-the-top fireworks in the Shadow, Doc Savage, the Spider, G-8, and the Operator 5 Purple Empire novels. Tom Johnson lists this as one of the best Phantom novels. I don’t get it.
