Based on the research and findings of more than 520 books and scientific papers, Women's Health after Abortion (Second Edition) is a comprehensive, up-to-date report of the physical and psychological impact of induced abortion on women.
this book is very thorough in its examination of studies dealing with abortion. It presents studies and explains them, going over the results very carefully and discussing what the studies mean. It covers a very large range of issues surrounding abortion, such as women's emotional reactions afterwards, the way children in the family are affected, the way men are affected, and the physical complications that can arise from abortion. it also analyzes studies that do not support its general findings and explain their weaknesses, which is very useful for someone who is examining the literature about abortion. The book presents a very strong case. I only wish the book would be updated, as the studies in the book only go through the early 2000's.
This was a fantastic and informative book on the effect of abortion on woman's health. It is scholarly in its approach, but accessible none the less. I learned a lot, and through it have become quite a proponent of woman's health - though not in the way that many hold to it. Anyone who had as interest in these topics or has opportunity to mentor young people should read this book!
