Picked this book up from the fine arts library and was super interested in it because Pompeii is one of my favorite historical sites of all time and my mind was just blown when I visited it!!

A few things about this book:
- It’s a really easy read, under 100 pages and all pages are mainly taken up by pictures
- The first third of the book is about the process of making them, different styles etc and then the other two thirds shows a specific fresco and summarizes the myth it’s depicting
- I heard some criticisms about how it’s inaccessible but I found it relatively accessible if you know the basics about ancient rome and their mythology
- I honestly liked it!! it was super low investment probs like two hours and I feel like my knowledge on the subject matter has progressed. I mean not as much as maybe other things because there were so many myths you start to feel inundated but still good!
