+ Plain language description of much photography lingo & processes
+ Wide range of examples
++ Billed for analogue, wholly applicable in digital (author notes using scanned images to prepare for digital printing)

- Image credits, just sometimes, have info related to the current chapter
- Did the glossary introduce 'new' terminology?
-- Too short, next I'm on to Bronkhorst's book about digital photography, SnApp Shots
