In a post-apocalyptic world where medieval kingdoms have once again evolved, Princess Cadence is forced to choose only one lover, and he must be a real Prince.
Dominic of the Northern Free Zone received a Royal Invitation to journey to the New West Dominion and meet Princess Cadence by mistake. He’s not a real Prince at all. Still, he isn’t about to pass up a chance to meet Cadence, who it’s rumored can please beyond imagination in bed.
Cadence turns out to be more than Dominic bargained for, both in and out of the bedroom. When he realizes Ethan, one of the Royal Gardeners, has worshipped her from afar for years, he invites the servant to join them in the Princess’s bedchamber.
But what happens when Dominic’s true identity is revealed, and the King and Queen find out their daughter has bedded a servant?
Cadence was once burned and is now twice shy, refusing to ever love again, but to use men for her pleasure. Who doesn't like a good romp session? Then again, every princess must behave a certain way. Not our Cadence though, she has two princes after her heart! Ok maybe not princes in the original sense of the word, but in my eyes they were very much princes. Dominic is bored at home and has heard stories about Cadence. So when he gets a royal invitation by mistake, who is he to pass it up. All he has is seduction and pleasure in his head anyway. Then you have Ethan, the lowly servant who has loved her from afar and was invited to join in the pleasures of the body. How can he pass this up, even if it´s sharing the woman he has loved and lusted about for years.
Rosewood you naughty woman!! This book is filled with some extremely hot and sexual scenes that will have your fantasies working overtime. Not only that, it´s set as a fairy tale in the way it opens " Once Upon A Time", but this is not your normal fairy tale. This is your grown up version. Where the princess is headstrong and knows what she wants and goes after it. You have to love that in your leading lady. Then you have Dominic, who is complete Alpha male hiding his softer side. Not to mention Ethan, who is compassionate and tender. Together, they are perfect pieces to a puzzle which is why it works. Plus, how combustible they are when they are in the sexual throws of pleasure. I´ve read Rosewood's work before and this is different from what I have read, but just as great. This book may get you hot and bothered or if you don't like plenty of steamy encounters, it will not be the book for you. It personally fed my smut addiction with a whole lot of goodness. I can't wait to see what else Rosewood has up her sleeve.
In a post-apocalyptic world where pseudo-medieval kingdoms have once again evolved. Princess Cadence of the New West Dominion, a woman used to getting as much sex as she wants, is being forced to choose just one lover, and to keep face with the other kingdoms her parents are insisting he be a real prince.
Dominic of the Northern Free Zone has been sent a royal invitation by Queen Sasha and King Lassiter by mistake. He's bored at home, and has heard of Cadence and her skills in the bedroom, so he dresses the part of a prince and sets off for her castle.
It soon becomes apparent she's more than he bargained for - in and out of the bedroom - and when he realizes she has a soft spot for Ethan, one of the royal gardeners, and that the man is totally besotted with her, he invites Ethan to join them in bed.
Review:
This is not any fairytale you heard as a child.
This book is written like a classic fairytale with a couple of very important twists. I love how Ms. Rosewood gave this fairytale a post-apocalyptic setting. And the princess in this story is no blushing virgin, but a passionate woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it.
The story begins with "Once upon a time..." and each chapter has a similar heading such as: "The Princess took a stroll in the garden." This book has it all. The fairytale dreams and the desert settings of a future land. The "princes" (there are two of course) are no Princes at all. One is a servant and one is pretending to be a Prince. In my book they were both Prince Charming, each able to love Cadence in their own distinct way. Of course their is the usual royal intrigue and melodrama, complete with plenty of hot steamy love scenes. This story is not for a child or the faint of heart. Cadence's Princes take her firmly in hand and show her who is boss. That's just the way she likes it.
I loved this book. It has the headstrong heroine, an alpha hero, and a compassionate hero. What's not to love about this book? The shortness. *pout* I would love to read more about this fairytale land of Princes, Princesses and gardeners sneaking into your bedroom. Maybe one with a stable hand...Just some food for thought, Ms. Rosewood. If you plan to continue this as a series, I will be first in line to buy.
Cadence is the spoiled princess, Dominic is just looking for some fun and Ethan just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and is helplessly in love.
The Rebellious Princess Chooses Two Lovers was a fun, light, sexy read without an overly complicated plot and full of lots of scorching sex.
Though I enjoyed reading this short story, relating with the characters was not an easy task. Cadence knew what she wanted and how she wanted it but she was a little too passionate about everything. She vowed her love, she vowed revenge, she vowed to uncover the truth…I believe the author was trying to construct a strong and enthusiastic character but I found her ardour annoying and a little shallow.
Dominic, on the other hand, was the ruthless man looking for a good time who falls for the pretty girl. He was attractive and inquisitive when it came to the sex and his secrets were genuinely surprising.
Finally, Ethan was really sweet, but at times he felt like a filler character, placed into the story so that Cadence could have sex with both men. It was a shame, because I really would have liked to learn more about the servant.
One thing is for sure, the author knows how to portray the chemistry between the characters, and her descriptions when it came to the sex were sizzling. There was male-female, male-female-male, a little brushing up between the two hot male protagonists and even some spanking. Based in a “pseudo-medieval kingdom”, the crude language the author sometimes employed just made the story a whole lot more fun to read.
Overall, The Rebellious Princess Chooses Two Lovers is a fun, light and hot read, perfect for a quick bedtime story.
This book was hot and heavy from start to finish. The sex was great and the female MC just a little hellcat bent on finding pleasure in the men she wants.
The drawing out of her loss of a person she loved and finding love again was done nicely. The jealousy of two men sharing her, the housemaid that really needed to get more of a punishment...Really set well in the world created.
What I wished I could have seen more out of this was the world building. It's futuristic with a post-apocalyptic feel, pitting the USA back into Kingdoms/Territories. Except for a reference to "The Crisis", I didn't get to know what truly happened. Why did the world go back to kings/queens/lords/ladies/princesses/etc? What happened? It felt like Cadence lived in a world with nothing around her. No town to govern over. Just stuck in the middle of no where. Bummer. I love reading the old in and outt. I just like my dressing on the side as well.
I recommend this and all the Naughty Fairytales by Evernight publishing.
Another fantastic read in this series of Naughty Fairy Tales. Can Ms Rosewood spin a tale, or what? The more this tale went on, the faster I clicked and there were moments when I feared for the protagonists. Be still my beating heart. I knew it had to come good in the end, but goodness, she had me worried with the caving scene.
The sex is hot, the descriptions beautiful, and the world building is very strong.Thoroughly enjoyed this :-)
