This is the story of a clerk in the madras port trustwho eventually become a fellow of trinity college, cambridge and his english mentors.
The author starts off with the family background of the biographee, but doesn't move over that very quickly. Well, it is kind of good because we get to know the childhood hurdles and atmosphere of Ramanujan very well. Later into the book, she describes his academic details, and the turning points in his life.
Overall, this is a nice short introduction about the life of the mathemagician.. :)
