10 Amazing Muslims Touched by God

Rate this book
Eternally amazing! Ten real-life experiences about faith in Allah, the Qur’an, and amazing encounters with the God of Abraham.   Ten Amazing Muslims is a compilation of stories representing a vast demographic of Muslims—from Jihadists to peaceful leaders and humble Bedouins to intellectuals of various echelons of society worldwide. True stories include a man raised to be a terrorist, to a scholar seeking to know Muhammad and a woman raised as a Bedouin. Through these experiences you will gain a deeper understanding of Islam and be amazed at the personal encounters with the God of Abraham,Isaac, Ishmael, and Jacob. You will hear truths from the Qur’an, the Torah, the Zabur (the Book of Psalms), and the Injil (the Gospel)—the words of Muhammad, Moses, Jesus, and the ancient prophets of God. In their own words, ten amazing Muslims tell their stories about how God chose to reveal Himself to them in extraordinarily supernatural ways. Most of these men and women are devout Muslims, while others are scholars of the Qur’an and Hadith—some are just ordinary Muslims searching for answers from God.

This book arrived as junk mail, addressed to a neighbor with an Arab name who no longer lives here. I picked it up and read the cover and the back, and thought: Cool! Sentimental, uplifting fluff for Muslims! Christians have it, why not other religions?

Then I tried to read it.

What the cover doesn't say is that "touched by God" means "found Jesus." This book is part of a stealth campaign to convert Muslims.

...Well, okay, this book is a way for Christians to feel better about themselves while imagining that they're reading a book intended to convert Muslims. I can't believe that any real Muslim would be able to get through it. The book makes stupid mistakes, like assuming that Muslims live in perpetual fear of damnation because they don't have a savior to assure them that they're going to Heaven. Er... that's a Christian preoccupation. It's like a Christian living in perpetual fear of spiritual contamination because they don't know how to do ablutions.

Or even stupider mistakes, like the story about the boy whose teacher beat him because he asked how Muhammad knew he was inspired, and he wouldn't accept the teacher's answer of, "Because the Qur'an says so." Uhm. So that story about Muhammad meditating in the cave? And the angel Jibril/Gabriel coming to him with a scroll and ordering him to read from it? And half-stifling him because he said he couldn't read? Then ordering him to recite instead, and teaching him the first sura? And appearing to him again later, standing astride the horizon, saying "O Muhammad, you are the messenger of God and I am Jibril"? Sh!t, son, *I* know that story and I'm not even Muslim. It's not in the Quran, it's a hadith, but an actual Muslim would know that authentic hadiths are as binding as the Quran. The kid would know the story, the teacher would refer to it, and the teacher would also have plenty of Quranic verses to quote supporting Muhammad's inspiration. "Because the Qur'an says so," my rosy pink bottom.

The other objection I have to this book is the way Jesus appears to the ten amazing Muslims. We're not talking subtleties--hints, leads, waves of emotion. We're talking BAM! BRIGHT LIGHT AND JESUS IN YOUR FACE. Actual Jesus, in the actual room, bathed in a bank of celestial Klieg lights and telling you he loves you and wants to be your dead heavenly boyfriend. No wonder the ten amazing Muslims converted. I'd convert, too. In fact, maybe folks wouldn't be leaving Christianity in droves if Jesus wasn't saving his celestial woo for a bunch of converts. Come on, Jesus, get with it! Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold! Pitch some heavenly woo my ex-Christian way!

I got two of these books in the mail and heard many Muslims were getting it too without asking for it.I found this book to be very deceiving. It was made to seem as if it was about something completely different by the title, the picture of the man that seemed to be of Indian descent and his name. If the purpose of this book is to make Muslims convert into Christianity, then it was going about it the wrong way. We(I am a proud Muslim) have just been deceived, the stories seem fabricated, and it made false accusations about Islam. I somewhat believe that the purpose of mailing many Muslims this book is to start a fuss about it and get Muslims angry, but I hope I'm wrong. I felt it was a complete waste of my time and never finished it.I wouldn't have been angry about this book if it was just straight forward. I was being tricked and I didn't like that.

I'm not sure you will publish my review about your peace of propaganda against Islam. This book is nothing but made up stories, and no doubt some ex Muslims like faisal Malick would go to any extent to earn some fame and lots of money and grab attention of innocent christian. I am requesting you to please stop selling God. Let us be good human beings! because on the internet you find lots of christian who converted to Islam here in the US. It's a person's choice it shouldn't be used as propaganda! BTW. Who is paying for this???

Right, let's get this straight off of the bat: This isn't a book.

Seriously it isn't.

It's straight-up propaganda, some type of asinine effort to convert Muslims into Christianity, or whatever. It's not only offensive, ignorant, and stupid - it's scary. Why?

Well, first of all, this is a free copy, shipped right to your door as mail. Apparently, the guy with the Muslim-sounding name is just there to trick you up, kind of make you open the book. The description at the back was pretty misleading as well; it just seems to be some type of inspiration Muslim book.

So, I was all like, alright, cool. I was pretty pleased that Muslims were actually trying to get their message across, y'know, that they're not all terrorists and stuff.

Yeah, right.

It's only halfway through the first chapter that it hits you what you're reading. A Christian-propaganda book slyly designed as a Muslim story shipped to what? Muslim people? Seriously, if they'd just written THIS IS A CHRISTIAN BOOK DESIGNED TO CONVERT YOU MUSLIMS it would be much, much, more palatable. Designing it to appeal to Muslims only to trick them into reading this isn't idiotic; it's downright diabolical, and certainly not very "Christian", or whatever type of people they were advertising as 'good' in this novel.

The scary part is that these people know where you live, and that they'll ship these types of books because your name 'sounds' Muslim.

It's not just racist and close-minded - it's very, very creepy.

Due to the number of mistakes made by the "authors" of these stories, I'm having a hard time believing that these are real people. I'm sure there are numerous Muslims who convert to Christianity, but the "ex-Muslims" in this book make so many errors when referring to basic Islamic tenets that I'm just not buying their stories. One of the guys - a supposed Islamic scholar - even mentions visiting Muhammad's grave in Mecca. Every Muslim, many non-Muslims, and ANYONE WHO CAN USE GOOGLE knows that Muhammad's tomb is in Medina. This is a 3rd-rate propaganda piece.

a book full of propaganda against Islam. full of false stories, lies and aims to misrepresent Islam. in one of the stories the storyteller says that his mother was supporting him to kill cats and dogs in order to be a proper Muslim, while in REAL Islam mistreating an animal is considered a SIN! another storytellers said they left Islam because it incites hatred, while in reality Islam teaches compassion and love for every human, and even the word Islam itself is driven from the word "peace"

A book that I won't recommend to any person!

Complete rubbish. I am so glad I did not waste time at a library for this or any money buying it. This is worthless propaganda and complete fabricated stories of 10 so called "Muslims" and their enlightenment into Christianity. If there were Muslims who did not like their religion, they would know where to go to seek alternative spiritual guidance. Mailing this garbage out to anyone who has a Middle Eastern sounding name is very dishonest and really speaks volumes to the credibility of the author as well as the other "Muslims" in the book. This book doesn't deserve a single star and should definitely not be on Goodreads because it is NOT a good read by any standard.

Ten former Moslems describe their search for a closer, surer walk with God which ended in their conversion to Christianity. Though from different divisions of Islam, each grew up accepting the Qur'an as the inspired Word of God and Islam as taught by their faith group, but also with a hunger to grow closer to God. Each told his or her own story.

As a Christian who has never read the Qur'an, I cannot evaluate the contradictions they found between the Qur'an, the Hadith (extra-Qur'anic Moslem traditions) and the Gospels. The sincerity and courage of each led them away from all they had been told was true to a new understanding and acceptance of Jesus Christ. (Moslems are instructed to accept that Abraham, Moses and Jesus were prophets, but that the writings accepted as authentic by Jews and Christians are corrupted.) The path of each was unique, the end was the same.

For the non-Islamic reader, it provides a bridge between what they believe(d) and what Christians believe in a context (their conversion) which relates it to the fundamental writings and beliefs of Christianity.

A very good read.

The description and overview listed of the book is misleading. It is done so, because they want Muslims to read it. If they were to be honest up front, many would not be curious to read it. This is really a book about 10 Muslims that had supposed supernatural encounters with God who revealed Himself as Jesus. These Muslims then turned from their faith in Allah and became followers of Jesus instead and accepted the Bible as God's Word instead of the Quran. As a Christian myself I am always ready to read about God saving people for Himself and people turning from a false religion to the truth of Christ. However I still did not like this book. At first I thought I did but the more I read it and thought about it, the more I didn't. These testimonies of strange supernatural encounters cannot be proven, we have to take the person's word for it. How do we know if they're telling the truth? Also truth should not just be based on experiences and emotions, those things can also lead us astray. I did not think that this book was very Biblical or had a lot of sound doctrine to explain to people why Christ is the only way to God.

Joke. The mistakes these so-called former Muslims make about the beliefs of the religion they were supposedly devout believers in, make this a laughable read. Book reads like Christians imagining what it would be like to be Muslims, then converting.

Just look at these reviews, the Muslims are rolling their eyes at the nonsense, the Christians think it's great! These same Christians shell out the $$ that make this little fake-convert cottage industry a profitable venture.

This was proselytizing literature sent to people's homes (raising many people's concerns about how this group knew where we all lived) with little indication of what it was. Christians, if you truly believed this religion of yours was the truth, you wouldn't need to resort to such deceptive, cheap, and ultimately futile tactics to spread it. I haven't heard of a family that got this that didn't laugh at the first page and then trash it.

First of all, I didn't buy this book. It was mailed to me in the mail.
It was a horrible, boring "book" that seemed made up. This book is wrong about Islam in almost every single way. It was written with many typos and was extremely offensive. It was filled with stupid cliches that were lies and do not reflect how Muslims are today.
If you actually wanna buy this book, that's pretty sad because he literally mailed it out for free to Muslims as a pathetic attempt to convert them.

Very deceptive and hokey. Actually insulting to Muslims and Christians alike. Look, if you find happiness in what ever you believe in that’s GREAT, but please don’t send random junk mail and think a 80 page book is going to work. Just like everyone else I read it out of curiosity. Gravely disappointed.

10 Amazing Muslims Touched by God is about 10 Muslims who have experienced time with God or a a Prophet and they have their questions of life answered. Written by Faisal Malick, he himself has a story of encountering with God. He tells the true stories that include a man raised to be a terrorist, a scholar seeking to know the Prophet Muhammad, a woman who is raised as a Bedouin and much more. The 10 Muslims all have their point of views of how God revealed himself in supernatural ways. Most of the men and women are devotees of God while others are scholars of the Qur'an and want to find answers that they have been questioning for their whole lives.

There were many conflicts in the 10 stories that were told. For example, the story of Akef Tayem who tells of how he experienced what a Christian Priest did to cure a boy who had a leg deformation and has been questioning his belief. He wanted to grow up and become a scholar with the support of is family. Ever since he saw how the Priest made the 9 year-old boy's leg grow back, he wanted answers such as, "Have I been believing in the wrong religion?" or, "Whatever I saw, was it real and should I convert?" These questions bothered him until he went to a church to see what it was like and saw a formation of Jesus Christ. He met Jesus and he showed him what is in Akef's heart. After that, Akef converted into a Christian and stayed that way. Another story was about a man named Hamdi Erman. He practiced Islam all his life and was a scholar of the Qur'an and Hadith. His wife and children were Christians which caused him to part away from his family. He was really confused of what to do until one night he saw this very bright light fill his room and he was not able to see the face. He knew the figure was Jesus and he wanted to help Hamdi. After that, Hamdi became a devotee of Christianity.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars because I really enjoyed the point of views of all of the 10 people. The author, Faisal Malick is very good at capturing the reader's attention and he surely captured mine. I liked how every story was unique of how all 10 of the people's questions were answered and what they had to go through before.

Some random person asked me if I was Muslim when I was out walking and then gave me this book 🤡 it's sick to target hijabis and people who are visibily Muslim and insist they take books with misleading titles that are just filled with propaganda and lies about their own religion. It's insulting and disrespectful. As for the book, it's awful. It claims to share authentic stories of "Muslims" who convert to Christianity after finding Jesus. There are many small mistakes the author makes that show that none of the "Muslims" telling their story in the book have any actual understanding of Islam. It sounds like someone looked up Islam on Wikipedia and then made up a story based on a list of rules they found. Not to mention the hundreds of harmful stereotypes and misleading information it protrays Muslims in. It's also horribly written by the way! Very wordy and they keep repeating the same phrases 600 times. Very boring too. It's not realistic either. And Muslims already believe in Jesus??? Genuinely an embarrassing read 🤡🤡 spreading harmful misinformation and lies under the guise of "showing Muslims the light" is very disrespectful and disgusting.

An enlightening book containing stories about 10 Muslims who had supernatural encounters with Jesus and became Christians. These 10 Muslims were both Sunni and Shiite Muslims and were devoted Muslims. One theme throughout the book is that they knew as Muslims that there was no assurance that they would ever enter Heaven, unless they died during Jihad.

According to the Quran, on Judgment Day, God would decide if their good deeds had outweighed other things they had done to determine if they would spend eternity in Heaven of hell. Although they prayed multiple times a day, reciting prayers from the Quran, God never responded to their prayers.

After the supernatural experience, they realized that God did respond directly to those who followed Jesus and that followers of Jesus had His assurance that they would spend eternity in Heaven.

Although, these 10 Muslims became persecuted Christians, they have been helping to bring other Muslims to Christ. They are now devoted followers of Jesus Christ and spreading the gospel.

I am blown away by these wonderful, life changing stories. Thank you Malick for publishing this book. God is so good. He is a miraculous God. The former Muslims in this book really experienced something outside the natural. It may be hard for some to understand the supernatural, but it is real, and I love how this book is so open about every single emotion, experience, and detail. It really draws you in to their intimate experience with the father. I Pray this book focuses on the love or Jesus, the hope he is for us, and the joy he brings into our lives everyday. Thank you Faisal, and the rest of the people involved with this book.

An interesting book. It certainly give you an insight in the muslim way of thinking about Jesus, which is really interesting. But there is too much of "I saw Jesus and became a christian" for me in this book to really touch me. I am always a bit hesitant when I read stuff like that.

This cover and titles are misleading, and this book is a scam in disguise. I remember getting this book in the mail ~10 years ago. I decided to read it, excepting to read about Islam.

However, all I read about was people converting to another religion, I was so confused, and felt deceived, because based on the title you’d think it be about how to be a better Muslim.

Don’t waste your time reading this.

I am a Muslim. I Received this in the mail today and I was like okay let's read some miracle stories. This if just a failed effort of trying to change the minds of Muslims. The title and the letter that comes with it doesn't tell you that. Muslims already believe in Jesus as a prophet btw. I don't what he's crying about in the first story.

Giving this five stars to balance out the negativity! Whatever you believe I feel it's unfair and disrespectful to disagree with someone's personal religious experience.

The author has had some incredibly strong criticism levelled at him but these are not his words or his story. Some of the 10 people have been criticised for misquoting the Quran and misunderstanding their religion. Unless their critics were actually there at the time, how on earth can they say the person is mistaken? At the end of the book are contact details for all ten people. Take it up with them directly.

Not all the Christians in these people's stories are "goodies" and not all the Muslims are "baddies". I loved the story of the mother who, when told her son would have to have his leg amputated because of a malignant tumour, discharged him from hospital to care for him at home. She spent hours every day massaging olive oil into the lump. And it disappeared.

This book can be an effective tool to selectively give to Muslim friends. It compares and contrasts Islam with Christianity, Allah with Jehovah, the unknown with assurance, confusion with the Way. The sincere Muslim seeker can find answers among these 10 testimonies.
