Bill W was a genius. The fact that he had real opportunity to "take over" AA and potentially become a cult leader or something, yet didn't, is a real testament to how a relationship with a "Higher Power" can turn a drunk ego-maniac into a man that has offered hope and sobriety to untold millions (all 12-step fellowships owe AA for their program).
