This volume is highly recommended for owners and breeders alike, and it would make for a fantastic addition to collections of allied literature. A very nice book if you want to read about the history of the German Shepherd breed. Contains great bits of knowledge for the enthusiast how wants to dig a little deeper. This is the definitive old work. But it also feels really old in style and some of the breed information. The 'biology' theory is also dated at times.
