Taken Identity

Rate this book
What do you do when someone steals your identity?

Find out why of course.

When a hot, to die for man appears on your doorstep demanding his wife, who it seems has your name and your life, you need to find out what’s going on.

Gray Reynard thought he’d found his wife, instead he found Jules. Who would have been more than happy to be found by him under any other circumstances.

It seemed someone had pointed him to Jules as a red herring, and like all old fish, the whole thing stunk.

They both needed to know what was happening and why so they could move on. Would it be together or apart?

I don't comment on a lot of the books, but this one was NOT worth any where near the $5.00 that i paid for it. It sounded SO good in the blurb that i just had to read it, but i could not get past the writing (i did finish it). It felt as if it was a teenager was writing it and trying to make it sexy and it did not work. How this book got 3-4 stars i have no clue. it was at most 2. I so wished it had been better

When Jules opens her door one day she doesn’t expect to find a man claiming to her married to her. How on earth did that happen?
Gray, in search of his wife, is lead to Jules’s door step. His private investigator said she’s here, at this address, and pregnant. Not only is this woman not his wife, she’s clearly not pregnant.
But when it becomes obvious he was duped and the person her married stole Jules identity he’s determined even more to find his wife and sort everything out.
Jules doesn’t just want to find this woman who stole her identity but also seems to be increasingly attractive to Gray.
As they join forces to get to the truth they also can’t put aside their feelings and expand on them. They let their desires encompass them.
When the truth comes out, when the lies are uncovered, will they move on separately? Will they return to their lives? Will Gray move on? Will Jules goes back to her life before Gray?
It’s a case of mistaken identity that could have many different endings. I find this a great ending. I would like to have liked Raven to explain the masked ball to him during the story as they were determining when and where Jules had been, but I did love how she decided to do it
The ending was a little rushed for my tastes personally but overall it was a great story.

This isn’t the first time I read a book about taken identities and such. But this one from Raven McAllan is quite a hoot to read! Julia Frances Frayne talked a lot, so much so that she even had this habit of talking to herself, answering her own questions and even scolding herself. While I wasn’t really into her habit of talking and the way she did it, I thought the story was quite pleasant and quick paced.

When the drop-dead gorgeous Mr. Gray Reynard demanded for his wife right in front of her doorstep, Jules thought she might just be getting pranked or what. But soon they learned that there was something fishy going on, what with Jules’ name being used and all. When Gray realized his mistake and Jules’ identity been stolen, they must find out the truth behind this. Both went to great lengths to find the user, and while doing so, they fell into each other’s clutches. The sparks, the enigma, the undeniable attraction were all too much to take, so they let matters take their course and enjoyed the ride.

I liked the pacing of this story, it was a short and easy read, and it was quite enjoyable (a little too much if I may say so). The sexy scenes were a a bit too much to handle, too! Raven McAllan sure kept me grinning ear to ear while reading her story. Now that is quite a feat!

Gray was looking for his wife, having thought he found her he goes to confront her. Only to come to Jules’ house. This woman has the same name as his wife and looks just like her. When Gray first saw her he told her to fetch his wife. So she doesn’t resemble her that much. I found it hard to relate to the character partially because of Jules in-her-self moments.

Then came the twist in the story and things started to make some sense. Jules takes the lead, she’s really determined to find Gray’s wife, while Gray follows. Both are looking for a the woman both with different motives. While reading I was really curious about Gray’s wife and her motives behind her actions. The story has been written in a fast pace, sometimes too fast. Although it has a well written storyline, the author could have made more out of it. But that’s how I feel. If you like a fast paced story, with some suspense and steamy scenes. This is your book.

When a strange man knocks on the door and demands to speak to Jules, she thinks he is a crazy lunatic trying to get in. But, the man insists that it is his pregnant wife’s name and he is looking for her. Strange coincidences begin to unravel and Jules and Gray find that his wife was not all that she appeared to be.

This was a very fast paced story focused on the mystery and suspense of Gray’s soon to be ex-wife. I found the original Jules a bit “odd” and difficult to like. Gray, on the other hand, was very likable and HOT! I could not understand what he saw in Jules, but I chalked it up to them both being taken off guard and trying to figure things out together. Even so, the sex was HOT and the chemistry was intense between these two! Yowza! They set the sheets on FIRE with their sex scenes in this book! I think the story could have been less fast paced, but the writing was well done. It was a good read, but did not wow me.

Taken Identity by Raven Mc Allan is a fun, read that made me smile. Jules or Julia is a children’s author. She doesn’t get out much she pretty much is a homebody. Gray Reynard is tracking down his wayward wife who has stolen money from him. This leads him to Jules. Because he married a Julia Frayne. But not the Jules he finds. Jules would have remembered marrying a man as handsome and polished as Gray. Gray is understandably frustrated. They both end up on a chase for the person who stole Jules’s identity, and along the way find love.
I do like the character of Jules she is brave, feisty, and very passionate. She isn’t the type of girl to be stupid and just trust a stranger either. She has some fight to her.
Gray comes off as pretty uppity at first. But we soon learn he is a very good guy underneath all that frustration. He also is a very dominate personality. I like vulnerable dominate men so Gray had me at hello.
When you want a cute passionate story if mistaken identity this is the one to pick up.

I really enjoyed this story with its quirky characters and strange coincidences. Jules' obsessive journal-keeping helped them unravel the mystery of the other woman, and their explosive sexual encounters made for a great read. I also really liked Sean, the investigator helping Gray find his soon to be ex-wife and the jewelry that disappeared when she did. Once all had been revealed I was satisfied with the story's end, and I felt that Jules and Gray
were a great fit. Other than a few places where I had to re-read to really understand what the author was trying to say, and some British slang or idioms that I didn't truly get, this is an enjoyable book.

This is the second book, I have read by Raven McAllan and I will definitely be reading more from her. I really enjoyed this story it was full of suspense and the sexual tension was written with incredible pacing.

There is one scene in the book that has got to be the most erotic (in a very good way), thing I have ever read.

The mystery in this story is interesting and I liked the way Ms. McAllan brought all the strings together.

If you are a looking for a sexy suspenseful romance, grab this one today.
