Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney, Urinary and Genital Tracts, Second Edition

Rate this book
Since the publication of the first edition of this important, groundbreaking textbook in 1996, our understanding of the embryology and anatomy of the urinary tract has increased. The second edition now includes several chapters on the kidney, reflecting the relationship between renal development and the urinary and genital tracts. This book has a unique focus: the patho-embryology and surgical anatomy of pediatric lesions. Anomalies throughout the anatomy are discussed, and the author draws distinctions between malformations and deformations. Though not primarily a textbook of detailed therapy, surgical options are provided on the basis of the editors' understanding of pathology and natural history of conditions.
