Mcgraw-Hill Series in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering

Mechanics of Fluids (Engineering Series) by Irving H. Shames

Rate this book
This 4th edition is a rigorous introductory level fluids book with a strong conceptual approach to fluids, based on mechanics principles. Students from Mechanical, Civil, Aero, and Engineering Science departments will benefit from this title. Students find this book readable, while being provided with strong coverage of underlying math and physics principles. Shames' book provides an especially clear link between the basics of fluid flow, and subsequentto advanced courses such compressible flow or viscous fluid flow. The new 4th Edition lessens the amount of advanced coverage, and concentrates on the topics covered in typical first courses in Fluid Mechanics. It also includes Matlab applications for the first time, giving students a way to link fluid mechanics problem-solving with the most widely used computational & problem modeling tool.

El libro básico de la materia de Mecánica de Fluidos. Es muy bueno, pero hay muchas versiones, y van variando en los ejercicios.
