really beautiful and moving, an exploration of the death of the american dream using history, spirituality, psychology, and fable! this book took me on such a cool journey and all the pieces were rlly clicking together. i loved that it addressed the specific disillusionment women face in the 21st century. the book is doing a lot so you can definitely get lost in the weeds a little at times but it's still really cool

Read this back in the 80's. It opened up some new thinking for me and made sense of many of the stories that I have heard from my husband's family of immigrants.
