the chapters are written by various people. There are some chapters which I liked more than others for example Solli´s last chapter on social order. I appreciate the easy yet descriptive language. this book generally takes enough time to explain things and provide examples which I believe helps me grasp its ideas and its attempts of explanation as the authors dissect one thing from various angles. I have heard some of the authors speak and they are just as patient, thorough, and descriptive in real life when addressing a concept as they are in their book. Recommended for individuals looking to learn about social sciences. I benefited from this book as a new sociology student.
