Ok- I listened to her speak at a sailing seminar and she accepted my friend request on FB. Literarywise- fine - it's not Shakespear. But the story was very compelling to me and that may have to do with the fact that I get to pretend I do what she did on a small scale- she sailed the world - I sail Lake Michigan. The story is about the first all women team to sail on the big around the world race- other than Volvo. There were laugh out loud moments and serious - I need to put this down or have nightmares moments. Anyone who wants to read a book of courage and overcoming incredible odds as well as strut around the house going- I can do that! (yeah- there's a bunch of women power thing that you get from this book)- Then I would say read it.
