The Dragon and the Mouse is a story about relationships. A dragon and a mouse are very different. One is big, the other little. One is powerful, the other is not. One likes to eat hot peppers, the other likes Swiss cheese. How do two creatures so different from each other learn to understand and accept each other? That is what this story is about. The Dragon and the Mouse speaks to the feelings of children AND adults, and leaves a lasting impression with both.
I understand that this represents relationships between parents and children; and quite possibly it does a good job of it. But I didn't like it as a kid (kinda creeped me out) and I don't really like this book as an adult. The illustrations are good though.
