I have most, if not all, of the books in the Barely There series. This one is reminiscent of the 'Stone Soup' tale. As I read this to my 3 year old nephew, I realized it's a little too wordy to hold his attention all the way through each page. It's a story, however, that has enthralled his older brother since when he was a youngin' and I've read it to him [my older nephew] many times. It's the only one that he consistently wanted to read. I'll probably go through the other ones this month to take a walk down memory lane.
