She freelances for Penguin Random House and writes children's books for educational publishers, and lives near Richmond, Virginia, with her husband and rescue dog Phoebe.

As the biggest ethnic group among all Asian Americans, I feel it is important for me as an Asian American myself to learn about the history of my fellow Asians.
