Formatted so you can find any topic easily, ActionScript 3.0 Quick Reference Guide Also included are overviews of Flash and ActionScript features and workflows. ActionScript 3.0 is a huge upgrade to Flash's programming language -- and this guide helps you upgrade your skills to match it.
It's pretty rare that I'll give a technical reference such a high rating. However, when a book delivers exactly the information I need in exactly the way I need it, I can't give it any less.
For those who are transitioning from AS2 to AS3, or really for any developer wanting to get some quick answers for ActionScript 3 questions, this book strikes a wonderful balance between brevity and explanation. It's like having an experienced AS3 developer sitting next to you.
Being small, it's no replacement for the Adobe language reference, which you'll still need to consult frequently. But I am amazed at how often I look for something in this book's index and find it.
