I like that these provide a variety of opinions from ACTUAL DOCTORS who have ACTUAL CHILDREN. Sometimes it's frustrating to listen to a clueless doctor try to educate you about your child when clearly he has no idea how to put a child at ease (this happened to me once when I was forced to take my child to urgent care instead of his usual doctor...if that guy had kids, he definitely had nothing to do with raising them). The doctors don't always agree with each other 100%, and that's what's so encouraging. If one solution from one doctor doesn't work for you, you can try another one's advice.

This book is incredibly valuable to anyone who has a new baby. It is often said that babies don’t come with manuals. There are a million theories floating around and everyone has their own take on how to raise a child. What I love about this book is it breaks down the first year of a child’s life by the quarter then the month. Each chapter is a month in a child’s life and highlights the various things you will be experiencing and should be looking for to develop in your children.
Once again, the information is presented in a fun, informative and easy to read format. It is easy to quickly look up an issue you need advice on or read straight through in the endless hours of sleeplessness during the first year of a baby’s life. They continue to offer anecdotal stories from 70 Mommy MDs with practical advice and understanding for the new parents. Both mothers and fathers will get so much from reading this informative text and feel more confident in handling the many stressful events during the first year.
This book offers tips on everything from breastfeeding to taking a baby swimming. There is practical and accessible advice throughout. The book’s tone is calming and reassuring without the fear inducing information you might encounter elsewhere. The authors filled this book with useful information about common complaints and celebrations of a baby’s first year that most moms will face, not focusing on unusual symptoms and problems that only a few moms will encounter.

This is an anecdotal collection of tips about common issues that arise in a baby's first year of life, given by moms who are also doctors. Topics covered range from dealing with illnesses such as croup and whooping cough to buying baby shoes.
There's lots of good information here. The book claims to have more than 900 tips; I would argue that several are not tips so much as stories (since they tell what a particular mother did but not HOW she did it), but there's still a lot of information and likely any parent could find something valuable here.
