I really like this book too. The story unfolds in a really interesting way and I really enjoyed it.

saw the movie when I was a teen, did not really understand the story very well, I enjoyed it but felt that it was very dark, kinda depressing.

Was a good book, with a ghost story feel to it; even though it was probably the 1st of the gothic romance novels.
