This is marketed as a "realistic Western". I bought it from the author at Octoberfest in LaVeta, CO. It is an authentic story of the running of a ranch in the area. I don't know the dates of the story but it takes place before cars were in general use, probably at the beginning of the 20th century. I enjoyed the simple story.
